For some reason after I downloaded episode 81 it disappeared so... I guess I'll just skip it.
The first thing they talked about was Reflector. It's an app for your computer. It allows you to mirror any iOS device on your computer so it shows on your computer. The price is about $10, but if it is something you think you'll use in your classroom I would think it would be worth the purchase. Next they answered some questions from their website. After that they introduced Mountain Lion. Which is an Apple program, that allows you to stream anything to like your classrooms iPads or iMacs. Also Apple TV, which just seems to connect their classroom in a much easier and simpler way. The show wrapped up with an interview with John Martin. He explained his experience with designing video games with the high school class he taught. Gamemaker was a book he used to help with this. Also discussed ISTE, which I thought was cool because we are reading that book.
I think this is a great idea, but I do not think that people are willing to pay ten dollars for this.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Uyen that many people would not be interested in paying ten dollars for an app, but I like the idea of Mountain Lion. It would make streaming lesson plans easier within the classroom.
ReplyDeleteI disagree, I think that people would pay $10 for an app as beneficial as this! Crazy what all kinds of things they are coming up with these days! Times have changed since we were in school learning from the overhead projector.
